Elbow

Elbow problems are common and can affect both people with physical work and those who put a lot of strain on their arm in everyday life or training. The problems are often localized around the elbow, on the outside or inside, but the pain can also radiate down to the forearm, wrist or hand.

The cause may be local to the elbow, but the discomfort can also be affected by the neck, shoulder, wrist or load pattern. An important part of the examination is therefore to localize where the pain is coming from.

Examples of risk factors are repetitive movements, grip-intensive work, one-sided loading, heavy lifting, and imbalances in strength and control in the arm, shoulder and arm muscles.
