Neck
Neck pain is common and can affect work, sleep and everyday activities. The pain is often localized in the neck, but can also radiate to the head, shoulders, arm or hand.
The cause may lie in the neck itself, but the discomfort can also be affected by the thoracic spine, shoulder, work posture or load pattern. An important part of the examination is therefore to localize where the pain is coming from.
Common risk factors are prolonged sitting, static work, stress, one-sided work postures and reduced strength, mobility or control in the neck and shoulder muscles.
