Foot
Foot problems are common. A large part of the population suffers from foot problems at some point, and the problems can occur at any age but often become more common with increasing age. The problems can be local in the foot, often with pain under the foot, in the heel, forefoot or around the ankle, but the pain can also radiate up towards the lower leg. The cause of the problems can be local in the foot or come from, for example, the knee, hip or lower back. Here is our first challenge, to locate where the pain is coming from.
Examples of risk factors for foot problems include prolonged standing or walking, heavy physical exertion, unsuitable or worn shoes, changed load during exercise, previous sprains or injuries, and imbalances in strength, mobility and control in the foot, calf and hip muscles.
